Accessory Nerve Palsy

  • Abnormalities

  • Shoulder drop
  • Inability to turn head to contralateral side
  • Causes of Accessory Nerve Palsy

  • Trauma - blunt, cervical stretch injury, iatrogenic (e.g. lymph node biopsy)
  • Tumour
  • Medullary infarction
