Overview

  • Look For

  • The angle of the heel posteriorly - neutral, inverted (varus), everted (valgus)
  • Significance

  • An inverted ankle is generally associated with pes cavus (cavovarus) and an everted heel is generally associated with pes planus (planovalgus), however abnormal heel angle can also be a physiological variant.
