  • Ventricular fibrillation is a chaotic ventricular rhythm that is not compatible with haemodynamic stability.
    • Look For

    • Irregular, rapid, chaotic electrical activity without P waves, QRS complexes or T waves.
    • Causes of Ventricular Fibrillation

    • Myocardial infarction
    • Cardiomyopathy
    • Pulmonary embolism
    • Cardiac tamponade
    • Severe electrolyte disturbance
    • Cardiotoxic medications
    • Environmental - electrocution, drowning, hypothermia
