    • 5 - 20 cmH₂O

Raised LP Opening Pressure

  • Causes of Raised Intracranial Pressure

  • Mass lesion - tumour, abscess, haematoma
  • Swelling - trauma, meningitis, encephalitis, subarachnoid haemorrhage, water intoxication
  • Defective CSF circulation - obstructive or communicating hydrocephalus
  • Venous sinus obstruction - venous sinus thrombosis, depressed fracture
  • Benign intracranial hypertension
