Confirming NG Tube Position

Overview
A nasogastric or orogastric tube should be visualised below the diaphragm. If not then there is a chance that it is in the airway.
Indications for Nasogastric Tube Placement
- Aspiration or drainage of gastric contents
- Feeding
- Enteral administration of medications
