- Suggestive of a non-hepatobiliary cause.
Causes of Isolated ALP Elevation
- Bone pathology - fracture, osteomyelitis, osteomalacia / Ricket's, bony metastasis, Paget's disease
- Rapid bone growth (adolescents)
- Late pregnancy
- Hyperthyroidism
- Congestive cardiac failure
- End stage renal failure
