    • Causes of Diaphragmatic Elevation

    • Reduced lung volume - lobectomy, pneumonectomy, significant atelectasis
    • Diaphragmatic dysfunction - phrenic nerve palsy, diaphragmatic eventration
    • Intraabdominal pathology - ascites, tumour, collection
  • A pleural effusion can cause apparent hemidiaphragmatic elevation.
