  • Extractable nuclear antigens (ENA) are a subset of antinuclear antibodies (ANA) that are directed against nuclear antigens.
  • Certain antibodies are particular associated with specific autoimmune disorders.

Lupus & Sjogren's

  • Anti-SSb / LaSjogren's syndrome, SLE
  • Anti-Sm (Smith)Highly suggestive of SLE; particularly renal and CNS involvement
