Anti-CCP Antibodies

Overview

Anti-CCP antibodies are autoantibodies to cyclic citrullinated peptide, which is generally present in rheumatoid arthritis.
    • Normal Range

    • <10 U/mL
  • Causes of Elevated Anti-CCP Titre

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Psoriatic arthritis
  • Sjögren's syndrome
  • Inflammatory myopathies
  • Active TB
  • Pearls

  • 70% sensitive and 95% specific for rheumatoid arthritis, therefore a negative test does not rule out RA
  • Generally interpreted with rheumatoid factor as the two tests together are more predictive
