Tenckhoff catheters are used to provide access to the peritoneum for peritoneal dialysis.
Look / Feel For
- Catheter site infection - erythema, swelling, pus, tenderness, warmth
- Scars
- Signs of peritonism - rigidity, generalised abdominal tenderness, percussion tenderness, rebound tenderness
