Overview

  • Test For

  • Anterior cruciate ligament tear.
  • How to Perform

  • Flex the hip to 45 degrees and the knee to 45 degrees, and sit on the patient's foot to stabilise it. Place both hands around the tibia with thumbs on the tibial plateau, and apply an anteriorly directed force onto the proximal tibia.
  • Abnormal If

  • There is more anterior displacement of the tibia on the affected side compared to the unaffected side.
