- Carpal tunnel syndrome (median nerve compression)
How to Perform
- Percuss over the flexor retinaculum.
Abnormal If
- Paraesthesia / reproduction of the patient's symptoms.
Causes of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Mechanical - repeated movements, sustained positions
- Diabetes
- Pregnancy
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Hypothyroidism
- Amyloidosis
- Chronic kidney disease
- Multiple myeloma
