Significance
- The cervical spine is normally lordosed, and loss of lordosis or hyperlordosis may result in neck pain and headaches.

Look For
- Loss of the normal anteriorly-directed curvature of the cervical spine.
Causes of Loss of Cervical Lordosis
- Poor posture
- Cervical spinal fusion
- Foreign body in aerodigestive tract
Cervical Hyperlordosis
Look For
- Marked anteriorly directed curvature of the cervical spine.
Causes of Hyperlordosis
- Poor posture
- Advanced age
