Overview
Ataxic dysarthria is also know as 'scanning speech' or 'drunken speech'.
Signs of Ataxic Dysarthria
- Slurred speech - imprecise consonants
- Slow speech rate - e.g. inability to say 'eye-aye' repeatedly
- Irregular errors in speech
Significance
- Suggestive of a cerebellar lesion.
