Thomas Test

Overview
The Thomas test is used to assess for a fixed flexion deformity of the hip.
How to Perform
- With the patient in a supine position, pull one of their knees up to their chest
Abnormal If
- The contralateral leg raises off the ground (meaning that there is a fixed flexion deformity in the contralateral leg)
