Overview
How to Elicit
- Ask the patient to rapidly tap your hand with the dorsum of their foot (dorsiflexion and plantar flexion).
Abnormal If
- Inability to rapidly alternate movements.
Significance
- Indicative of cerebellar disease in the form of stroke, tumour or multiple sclerosis.
