    • Inhibits voltage-gated sodium channels and enhances GABA-mediated inhibition, resulting in suppression of seizure activity.

Clinical Use

    • Indications
    • Second-line therapy for partial (focal) seizures

    • Adverse Effects
    • CNS disturbances – drowsiness, dizziness / ataxia, diplopia, tremor, cognitive slowing
