Mechanism of Action
- Inhibits H⁺ / K⁺ ATPase, the channel responsible for pumping gastric acid into the lumen.
Pharmacology
- A prodrug that requires gastric acid in order to be activated.

- Peptic ulceration
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
- Adverse Effects
- Headache
- Nausea / vomiting / diarrhea
- Hypomagnesaemia
