  • Mechanism of Action

  • Bind to and inhibit fast sodium channels responsible for rapid depolarisation during phase 0 of the cardiomyocyte action potential.

  • Pharmacology

  • Weak sodium channel blockade, and decreases the absolute refractory period (ARP).

  • Acute ventricular tachycardia
  • Torsades de pointes
