  • Mechanism of Action

  • Inhibits fungal synthesis of ergosterol, and element of the fungal cell membrane.

  • Microbiology

  • Effective against Cryptococcus and Candida.

Clinical Use

  • Indications
  • Topical - tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea manus, tinea pedis
  • Systemic - cryptococcal meningitis, candidiasis
  • Adverse Effects
  • With systemic use only:
  • Rash
  • Nausea / vomiting / diarrhoea
