  • Mechanism of Action

  • A hormone naturally produced by pancreatic alpha cells that is responsible for regulation of glucose  and lipid metabolism.

Clinical Use

  • Indications

  • Severe hypoglycaemia due to administration of insulin or oral hypoglycaemics.
  • Contraindications
  • Phaeochromocytoma
  • Insulinoma
  • Glucagonoma
  • Adverse Effects

  • Nausea / vomiting.
