- Mechanism of Action
- A hormone naturally produced by pancreatic alpha cells that is responsible for regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism.
Clinical Use
- Indication
- Severe hypoglycaemia due to administration of insulin or oral hypoglycaemics.
- Contraindications
- Phaeochromocytoma
- Insulinoma
- Glucagonoma
- Adverse Effects
- Nausea / vomiting.
