  • Mechanism of Action

  • Directly agonises GLP-1 receptors, resulting in glucose-dependant insulin secretion.
  • Pharmacology
  • Stimulates insulin secretion in hyperglycaemia, and Inhibits glucagon secretion in hyperglucagonaemia.
  • Also results in delayed gastric emptying, appetite suppression and weight loss.
